Quality Assurance testing for Derivatives & Currencies Operations

Location :: Chennai & Bangalore

Job Role ::

Perform Quality Assurance testing for Derivatives & Currencies Operations in line with Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) standards to ensure the effectiveness of the key controls, Operations Audit readiness and Annual Controls Substantiation requirement are met.

ii.Responsible to reconcile the Nostro breaks which are outstanding post Automatching & Auto Coding are completed. Ensure the team completes the Manual Matches and Manual Coding before agreed SLA with each line of business. Allocate all unapplied funds in our Nostro Account to Investigation team.

iii.Responsible to Investigate the unapplied funds credited/debited from or to our Nostro Account held with our agent bank across the globe by reaching out to our corresponded bank to provide additional information and allocate the reconciliation break to concern line of business to have the funds applied. Return the unapplied funds after investigating the reconciliation break for a certain period of time as per procedure.

Responsible to provide regular updates to CASS governance team on the unapplied credits for legal entities of London branches to ensure we are compliant with the regulatory requirement.

Responsible to propose auto matches and auto coding suggestions to improve the STP rate by partnering with Operations and Change Management team.

Responsible for Pre & Post-Settlements of the Equity securities transaction for markets. Our objective is to settle the trades dealt by the bank with the client on the agreed Value Date. Then perform reconciliation post the settlements and work on Cash and Asset breaks. We do investigate on the exceptions generated due to STP failure on stock or cash instructions mismatch and market status confirmation received from agent. We assist sending manual Trade Confirmations to client on T+0, if STP chain breaks due to a system error. We are also responsible to make amendments to SSI details and other non-economic details of a trade.

In Pre-Matching, we confirm with clients on the trade economics at least a day before the Value Date (VD) or VD-2 or 3 depending on the market settlement cycle and risk. This helps the trade to settle on time and reduce the no. of failing trades.

Any issues identified during Pre-Matching are investigated and queried with Middle Office/Trading desk/Clients for resolution ASAP and follow up regularly till the issue is resolved and the trade settles.
